Reigate Community Counselling Centre

Professional Qualifications

Our counsellors hold professional counselling qualifications or are nearing the end of their counselling training. In accordance with good practice our counsellors are committed to on-going professional development and are members of either the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC) or the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) . They undergo regular supervision for their client work, in accordance with the ACC Code of Ethics or the BACP Ethical Framework. These can be found at www.acc-uk.org or www.bacp.co.uk

Our Approach

Our counselling approach is integrative which means we use a variety of counselling styles and models to suit our client's individual needs.

Many studies show that it is the relationship rather than the model which is key to a successful counselling outcome. We do not restrict the number of sessions available within an overall limit of 2 years but will regularly review the progress and counselling need. This enables clients to work at their pace, explore deeper issues and to determine what is important to them. Typically clients achieve their aims in a 3 to 6 month period.
